Summer is here and it is important to protect your skin from harmful UV rays. Did you know that having five blistering sunburns between the ages of 13-20 can increase your risk of melanoma by 80%?
Here are a few skincare tips from the experts on how to keep your skin safe and beautiful this season.
• Apply and Reapply Sunscreen. Sunscreen should be reapplied every two hours or after swimming or sweating.
• It takes sunscreen 20 minutes to sink in before it will actively protect you from UV rays.
• Avoid being outside from between 10:00am- 2:00pm.
• Don’t forget to apply sunscreen to your scalp or wear a wide-brimmed hat to protect your head and face from
the sun.
