A. Annually unless the patient has had a previous skin cancer, then it is suggested that they be seen more frequently.
Q. What sunscreen should patients use?
A. It is recommended to use a sunscreen that includes titanium dioxide and zinc oxide for optimal protection.
Q. What to look for in moles of concern?
A. When conducting a self-skin exam, always look for the most common visual signs or symptoms of abnormalities in moles: ABCDE- Asymmetry, Borders, Colors, Diameter, and Evolving.
