Seborrheic Dermatitis Treatment
Seborrheic dermatitis is an extremely common, easily treated skin problem.
It usually appears as a red, scaly, itchy rash on the scalp, in the eyebrows and on the sides of the nose. In infants, seborrheic dermatitis is called cradle cap. Cradle cap usually resolves on its own within the first year of life.
Gentle shampooing with a mild product can be helpful for children with cradle cap. Seborrheic dermatitis in adults is treated with a topical antifungal or steroid cream, in addition to a medicated shampoo.
